Gina Kirschenheiter explained how her RHOC castmate Heather Dubrow's kids’ college move-in experiences were vastly different from her own.

From hosting $36,000 dinner parties to designing her former home to include jaw-dropping custom features (see them in the video above), Heather Dubrow tends to go all out on extravagant details. So when it came time to move her twins, Max Dubrow and Nick Dubrow, into their college dorms, naturally, Heather had a lavish way of doing things.

On the Season 17 premiere of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Heather showed Gina Kirschenheiter how she was designing her kids’ dorm rooms ahead of their first year of college. "You can go online and you can, like, physically move the furniture around and measure and figure it out," she said, to which Gina quipped, "You are something else."

As Gina explained in an interview, the decorating process for Heather's kids’ rooms was quite different from her own experience.

"I prepared for college, I went to Bed Bath & Beyond with my 20% off coupon. I got a few iconic posters and hung them the f-ck up," Gina said. "My dorm room looked like a prison cell, and I’m doing just fine."

In August 2022, Heather showed off Max's beautiful dorm room, which was decorated with orange curtains, chic accent pillows, a fuzzy white rolling desk chair, and a headboard upholstered in a similar fabric. Max's bed featured a faux vine adorned with lights, green bedding, and adorable stuffed animals. Like Gina, Max opted for a couple of colorful posters. "Love you my baby girl, you’re starting the most incredible adventure," Heather wrote in the caption of her post at the time. "I’m so proud of you — enjoy every moment, take advantage of every opportunity!!! I love you so much!!! You may be far from home, but you are always close in my heart."

A few days before moving Max into Tufts University, Heather showed Nick's new dorm room at Loyola Marymount University. His bed was complete with monogrammed sheets, tan bedding, and a black light fixture over the headboard. Meanwhile, a black rolling cart stocked with snacks served as a nightstand, and framed black-and-white photos adorned the wall next to his bed.

"And just like that… my first born is off to college," Heather wrote in the caption of the photo, adding several crying-face emojis. "I love you [Nick] and I’m so proud to be your Mom! Have the best year ever! Be safe, make good decisions, study! and have fun."

She went on to add, "Oh and a special thank you to [Well Organized] who made this move in EASY…"
